Custer Hill Golf Course is a Military 18 hole golf course located in Fort Riley, Kansas.
Custer Hill Golf Course first opened for play in 1922. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
Custer Hill Golf Course has water hazards that come into play on four holes. Trees line most of the fairways.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 7,075 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,323 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par- that plays to 567 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 16, a par- that plays to 184 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 15, a 446 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Custer Hill Golf Course is # 7, a 187 yard par-3.

The front nine was designed by Robert Trent Jones and the designer of the back nine did very well also, with the most challenging hole on the back nine. This is the first course I ever played and I return often. There is no bar, only a military "snack-bar" in the clubhouse. The pro shop does NOT sell Taylor Made clubs. I am told that the Taylor Made folks refused to provide any special pricing for Military personnel was the reason for this decision.
